Comic Book Resources has posted their recap of IDW Publishing‘s IDW And Their Bro panel, from San Diego Comic Con 2010 this past weekend. IDW has had a successful working relationship with Hasbro these past couple of years, starting with Transformers and starting rolling out GI Joe in 2009.
With GI Joe series of high potential and some having already acclaimed critical success, IDW & Hasbro intend to push forth more plans and bring in some fan-favorites. What do they have in mind? Hit the title bar to find out!

GI Joe Origins #20 will introduce a new character, featuring a story titled: “Sedition By Numbers”
Next up, more info on another GI Joe Cobra Special, Croc Master, and upcoming introduction to Storm Shadow:
In the last week of September, IDW will publish “G.I.Joe Cobra Special” by Mike Costa and Antonio Fuso that will feature fan favorite character Erika Le Tene in “The Trial Of Erika Le Tene.” The story will pick up where the events in IDW’s “G.I.Joe: Cobra” left off while “G.I.Joe: Cobra” Issues #10 through #13 by Christos Gage, Mike Costa and Antonio Fuso finishes the Cobra Commander & Chuckles trilogy. The subsequent storyline of the series will feature the origin of the Croc-Master.Schmidt joked that the storyline in issue #23 through #27 of the ongoing “G.I.Joe” series by Chuck Dixon and Robert Atkins would be entitled “Critical Mass…or Mass Destruction” and noted that the storyline not only concluded “Season One” of “G.I.Joe” but also introduced Storm Shadow to current Joe continuity.
Look for all of these aforementioned GI Joe comics in fall!

Revealed at today's IDW panel. IDW will have an event called Infestation. IDW's editor in chief Chris Ryall said they will have a huge event involving Transformers, GI Joe, Star Trek, GHostbusters, and CVO (and potentially others) that will be in continuity and will have lasting effects within each series.
At the panel, IDW editor Tom Waltz said "The license holders have been very supportive. We've got a huge opportunity to re-vitalize several of our older projects that maybe some folks haven't seen because they came to our line of books later. It's going to be a really challenging and fun project."
What exactly does it mean? Have to wait and see.

I'm thinking it's going to be a common enemy that appears in each book and that's it.
Say an alien (just making this up folks, don't panic) race attacks. It'll show how each book would deal with the same race.
I don't know. I'm as "WTF" as the rest of ya.
Headman says
I've always wanted to see Walter Peck team up with the Decepticons. Maybe he can be Scorponok's new Headmaster.
Trooper13 says
Wow...I really hope they don't f' this up.

ummm... I'll wait and see what happens, but REALLY?!?!?!? I have no idea how to feel about this, other than the said W. T. F.
USAgent says
Transformers and joes spent plenty of time in each others books so aliens and time travel and all sorts of weird stuff is as much a part of joe as yo-joe cola, so I say bring on the craziness.

So, let's think about this: the Joe comic finally starts to pick up some momentum - and then detours for a few issues to deal with "Infestation"? I hope this also doesn't "infest" Cobra and Origins too! Seriously, this is a very bad idea for the Hasbro properties, as they are trying to convince me they have a well plotted out story that is going somewhere. To stick in this story will destroy that confidence!
