It was 1988 when we were introduced to Shockwave, a new recruit for the G.I.Joe team. Shockwave had several incarnations under the A Real American Hero banner, being showcased in subgroups such as Night Force and the G.I.Joe D.E.F. team.
Shockwave was renamed Shockblast in 2008 and was offered as part of the G.I.Joe Collectors Club convention set that same year. Shockblast found new life in modern form, being released along side DESTRO as part of a G.I.Joe Resolute comic two pack and later in his Night Force colors as part of a Rise of Cobra Walmart Exclusive 2 pack.
The re-envisioning of this awesome S.W.A.T. specialist hasn’t stopped there though! Our own nirvana7 has given Shockwave the 30th Anniversary style treatment with his amazing custom piece. The details are amazing, most notably the spot-on camouflage paintwork on the figure itself. Please join us after the jump to share your thoughts on this amazing update of a fan favorite character.

I have made a Shockwave Night Force custom that is inspired by the modern look of SWAT or other anti-terror forces.
Shockwave is one of my favorite Joe characters, but Hasbro does not make his new, modern versions. So I made him myself.
I wanted him to wear his urban camo uniform and black tactical vest, so I painted him in this way.
Please take a look and have a nice time.
