As an adult I can appreciate more what this issue did, but I don't think I will ever get past the kid in me who felt disappointed by this issue when I received a three pack of reprints and found no words in one of them.

^ It was the contrary for me. I made my own words and sound effects sometimes.

I was excited for a moment - if they could get someone like J. Scott Campbell to do the WHOLE issue (frame by frame). That would be worth buying. But how many times has the same issue been released (original, comic pack, Trades, collections, best of collections)? Nope. I'll pass.

I'll be picking this up as my issue from childhood did not survive and I never bothered picking it up again. Overall, it seems like a nice curatorial package, and it should be a fun trip down memory lane for me.

I got my original Issue #21 signed by Hama at Joe Con...wish I had this version as well.
This one is a no brainer...will look great reading it and displayed on my ever-growing Joe library.

I was fortunate enough to pick this up at SDCC, and it is a great edition. You have the original story, then the sketch layouts for the story, then a few retrospectives. I'd like for them to do this for the 2-part Origin of Snake Eyes issues as well, those remain among my favorite comic stories of all time. Great stuff.
