Via Bleeding It Cool website we have a very interesting article which finally reveals the new home for G.I. Joe and Transformers comics.
After IDW losing both the Transformers and GI Joe licenses at the end of 2022, it was unclear which would be the new editorial for each of Hasbro’s franchises (not officially at least). Now we finally have details about this new comic project:
…Transformers and GI Joe will be making their debut appearance together for Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment in Void Rivals #1, out next week. And this will begin a new Skybound comic book license with Hasbro for Transformers and GI Joe.
“Void Rivals” is a new comic book by Robert Kirkman, Matheus Lopes and Lorenzo De Felici, from Image Comics and Skybound, being published next week.

Interesting. Didn't Hama say DDP (which started with Image) isn't canon?
NaytNavare says
To clarify, think Halloween movies;Hama overwrote the earlier sequel with his Boom series.

Besides, we're living in a world of cinematic multiverses... Maybe this is just Joe-Earth 616

I was taking the scenic route on non/canon to say it'll be interesting to see if Image re-releases some of the "other" Joe issues or gets to re-release the original Marvel run as IDW did. It'd be nice to fill in the gaps in my collection without paying absurd amounts of money for it.

ahh, interesting.
well I for one was pretty happy with IDW... the Hama stuff was fun. some of the Joe stuff was brilliant (like COBRA), other was lame and I bought it just for the covers, others were 'meh'. The Tom Scioli GI Joe Transformers was my Official Favorite Thing Ever. And the Transformers titles were wonderful until they rebooted for the last time, then got boring.
i dont know if Im in the market to restart again! But, will give it a whirl. Kirkman is pretty hit-or-miss for me.

Makes sense: there was never really another publisher rumored to be interested in the licenses, and Robert Kirkman likes doing big surprises. I assume there'll be an official announcement on Thursday with more details on Skybound's publishing plans.
