Well it’s the start of a brand New Year! Hopefully 2015 brings lots of new ideas, action figures, vehicles and a new size class to G.I.Joe. We would like to dedicate this photo gallery to the new G.I. Joe Brand Manager Mark Weber.
There was a lot of talk in 2014 about a new size class and G.I. Joe needing to change to meet the challenges of the current market and collectors needs. Not everybody wanted a new size class but in the end the G.I. Joe Fans Voted In Favor of such a line.
While this 6-Inch Snake Eyes Black Series styled figure is NOT OFFICIAL, it does give the fans a base, for what such a line could look like. We hope everybody keeps an open mind if we do get a 6-Inch line in the future. I personally look at it as an opportunity to bring in new fans and collectors to G.I. Joe as well as a complement line to the dominate 3-4 inch collection.
Check out all the new Snake Eyes 6-Inch images after the jump and let us know what you think?

This figure is not produced by Hasbro and is an unofficial 3rd Party G.I. Joe Action figure. Having said that it is our best example to date of what a G.I. Joe 6-Inch Snake Eyes could look like....... Enjoy the images and sound off!

Looks like a nice custom. Still see no reason to buy larger versions of figures I already own. And yes, the poll showed a majority willing to support the line. But can a line already on life support afford to loose a third or more of its base by switching scales? I think not. Any Joe line aimed at collectors should stay in current scale. I think a 6 inch line would be a novelty that wouldn't survive in the long run. Sure, I'd buy a couple of my favorite characters, but that'd be it.

WOW if they do look this dynamic I would recant my no and buy this line. The SW Black 6" figures looked clunky, to me anyway, as many 6" lines do but the SE hasn't lost the dynamic proportions of the 4" line. This looks as good as the 3.5 Ultimate SE. I'd be in but would have to rein in my troop building...ok maybe only 5 of each Cobra troop.

At first I was totally against this 6" scale.
I resisted the urge to buy any Star Wars 6" figures.
Then I recieved the 6" Jedi Luke figure as a gift.
Instantly hooked. Literally.
I'm trying to limit the ones I buy. But with Joe's it will be tough to pass any up!
I do have a question for any 6" collectors.
Figure Stands. What do I do?
They don't come with stands?
What are the options? Silly that they have a footpeg but no stand.
PM me any suggestions if you want.

I don't have room for a 6inch line. I might buy 1 or 2 maybe but that's it. I say NO unless we continue to get 3 3/4 - 4 inch and if that's the case do what ever other sizes you want but I won't be collecting them.

For a 6" figure, I'd expect a hell of a lot more detail than that figure has. It just looks like the dvd pack Snake Eyes. And if it's not posed next to another 6" figure, you wouldn't even know how big it was. The POC Snake Eyes would make for a better example. A 6" line will need to go above and beyond what we're getting with the 4" line. Lots of preproduction stuff gets shown and people fawn all over it. But once it's on the pegs it's a different story. Remember how bad everyone wanted that Data-Viper when it was just a concept case figure? As soon as it was released it got picked apart.

It will be the nail in the coffin if it happens.

Matty Collector makes clear plastic Sideshow type stands for 6" figures. The come with 3 different size waist clamps for the thicker MotU figure to the thinner Dc figures and even an even thinner clamp for females or teen titans etc. They come in 2 packs for I believe 15 bucks.

To be perfectly honest...and Im not saying this doesnt look good, it does...but I wouldnt have been able to tell this was a 6" vs a 4" figure if the article didnt explicitly label it.
Maybe its because of Snake Eyes design, but I dint see where this shows off anything in 6" you cant see in 4".
Again, it looks good, no knock on the work displayed but I think it will require a different character to showcase what a 6" format could offer detail wise.
