Xovergen has updated their site with a new update on their Supreme Tactical Commander Grand Patriot figure! This was based on Don Figueroa‘s unused Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime design. The last time we saw this was in October with a painted sample. Now we see 2 versions, the aforementioned sample in Optimus Prime colors, the new one in more traditional military colors(green)! The latter is an exclusive. Each set includes:
- 1. 1 figure
- 2. 1 trailer (transformable into base)
- 3. 2 fusion guns
- 4. 2 arm cannons
- 5. 2 exchangable heads
- 6. 1 matrix
- 7. 12 pages comic + instruction
Check the new images out after the jump!

I don't like the face though based on these pictures but he comes with two. Not sure how much interest there will be in this from the Joe crowd (or the Transformers crowd).

It's cool. It's nice to see these things get realized!

Thanks for the heads up. I like the idea, but the execution seems a little poor, like it's almost a knock-off of an existing design/toy.

Wow! Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime minus the Rolling Thunder.
If you're gonna make a Transformers/GI Joe crossover both modes need to be instantly recognizable. Hasbro did a great job with Snow Cat, you saw the vehicle & instantly knew it was the Snow Cat from GI Joe. There's absolutely nothing about this alt mode that says "Rolling Thunder". All I see is another big truck similar to Armada/Energon/Cybertron.
