This may not be G.I. Joe related but some of you may find this news to be worthy! Just like most children of the 1980s, I was at home every Saturday morning watching cartoons and one of the major players was M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) along with G.I. Joe and Transformers. Finally on August 9, 2011 from Shout! Factory you can own your copy of the Series DVD box set!
To view Images and Review for the M.A.S.K. Complete Original Series DVD Box Set click the title bar. Having never owned a copy of the original series, I was pleased to see that Shout! Factory decided to release a series box set of this classic 80’s cartoon. Miles Mayhem and his nefarious international criminal organization V.E.N.O.M. plot to take over the world and it’s up to the M.A.S.K. team to stop them at their every move. Truly a timeless classic that I enjoyed watching again.
What I like most about M.A.S.K. is the combination of cool transforming vehicles with G.I. Joe “like” Drivers. You get the best of both worlds under one show. The one thing I did forget about after watching the shows again was that M.A.S.K. also had PSA announcements. Besides the usual “nobody gets hurt but we blow a lot of stuff up” 80’s style cartoon action you can now listen to the show in Stereo!
The Box set includes 12 DVDs in two packs, one side for the evil forces of V.E.N.O.M. and the other is reserved for Matt Trakker, the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand. The Box set includes 65 action-packed episodes from the original series aired in 1985.
As far as extras go, there are two new featurettes…
Unmasking /M.A.S.K./: retrospective interview with two of the show writers on this hit animated series. Gain insight on how scripts were chosen and what direction the writers were allowed to go in. Includes a look at the show series Bible and more.
Saturday Morning Krusaders: This feature is a Shout! Factory version of I love the 80’s with M.A.S.K as the focus. Fan Boys unite to cover the basics of this classic 80’s property.

This Summer, loyal fans and collectors can finally bring home one of the most enduring animated adventures from the 80's when the long-awaited M.A.S.K. The Complete Original Series DVD box set debuts nationwide on August 9, 2011 from Shout! Factory. This 12-DVD box set contains all 65 action-packed episodes known to fans as the original series aired in 1985, as well as insightful bonus features.
Led by multimillionaire Matt Trakker, the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand better known simply as M.A.S.K. defends the world against Miles Mayhem and his nefarious international criminal organization V.E.N.O.M., the very same group responsible for the death of Trakker's teenage brother. With his own son, Scott, and a secret strike force including his friends engineer Bruce Sato, courageous historian Hondo MacLean, mechanic Buddy Hawks, rocker Brad Turner, computer expert Alex Sector, stunt driver Dusty Hayes and beautiful martial artist Gloria Baker it's up to Trakker, equipped with special power-granting masks and a garage of special militarized vehicles, to keep the world safe from Mayhem and the villainy of V.E.N.O.M (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem).

I have a set on DVD. I think it's bootleg though. I have no idea. I bought it on Ebay and the packaging looks very legit and all except for the fact that the only place I think the MASK set was released before the SHOUT set was in Europe.
