Speaking at the Press Conference for the World Premiere of Hasbro’s Jem And The Holograms live action movie, director Jon Chu expressed his interest in a crossover movie featuring Jem Universe, Joe Universe and the Transformers Universe.
“I mean, I’m a huge Transformers fan, I would totally be down for that, but I really want to build my universe with Jem – but you could have Jem, G.I. Joe and Transformers collide – one epic blockbuster! Of course, any chance to direct a really fun movie like Transformers would be great, but right now just focused on the world that we’re creating now.”
Of course the director is not unfamiliar with action movies as he was the director of G. I. Joe Retaliation back in 2013. Idea for a crossover movie set in the Hasbro Cinematic Universe comes and goes time-to-time but without any solid confirmation. Unit: E initiative also saw an untimely demise four years ago.
What do you think of this potential crossover? Let us know on the thread attached to this news post.
As for the Jem fans of HISSTANK, hope you enjoy the new movie. Guess it’s “Show Time, Synergy!”.

I usually do not reply but this is beyond comprehension. So what, are Optimus and Snake Eyes backup dancers. Or better yet maybe they could reform the "Average Joe Band" and take on "Cold Slither" in a battle of the bands.

I don't think either of the first two films tackled the GI subject well in a way that pleased general audiences. How would a director who's every film has been critically and popularly panned as much as Chu's has possibly be the answer to treating the compounded issues of combining three different properties?
I like that Chu was so approachable from the fandom having gone on WOJM and everything, but his vision isn't what I think we're look for.
A.V.A.C. says
Why was "My Little Pony" left out? Don't forget the Brony fanbase!

Yes, but first Mr. Chu has to direct I am Malala, based on the real life story of the girl shot by the Taliban for speaking her mind. Malala is going to be played by Angelina Jollie and Sylvester Stallone will play Mullah Omar. Can not wait to see that one.
