Much like the first DVD set, this one has a very bare-bones DVD of "The Revenge of Cobra" Miniseries. So bare-bones in fact that they both have the same main menu! The episodes menu is different and this one has the new opening sequence and closing credits. Still no extras or anything.

Destro is the same figure we've gotten twice now, but with a new "cartoon-like" paint app. The body reminds me of the version 3 Destro from 1992 due to the all red collar and the red line that runs down the front of the torso. At first I wasn't impressed with the chrome head. I like the flat silver one better since it shows detail easier. However, the eyes on this chrome head won me over. The eyes are a dark green with a black outline giving it that classic cartoon look. Destro now sports a grey belt and boots. He comes with a small grey pistol and a Cobra Stand with his name on it.
Like I said, I love the head on this figure. There's really nothing new here. The body looks too much like the 1992 version and that puts me off, but that's just my personal taste. It's a solid figure that can work anywhere and has a classic feel to it.

Lady Jaye is here with her cartoon look down pat. This is the same body we've seen before but now there is a hatless head!
The head looks ok, but there does seem to be something slightly off about it. I think it's probably because they tried to make the 2-D version into an exact 3-D reproduction and it's one of those ones that doesn't translate perfectly well into 3-D. She definitely has her messy styled hair she had from the cartoon though. She also has a paint app that makes the body look just like the cartoon with the light green shirt and dark green pants. The belt and pistol are there from the last version but now we also have one of Lady Jaye's trademark spears along with a quiver holding 3 other spear parts! Each of the three spear parts has a ball at the end of it that allows it to fit snugly into one of the three holes in the quiver and is the way they connect together. One of the parts is a lower half with a silver cylinder and a hole in the top of it. The other two parts are tops that can each be plugged into the lower half to form a whole spear. Lady Jaye comes with a Pistol, Quiver, Whole Spear, Lower Spear Half, Two different Upper Spear Halves and a GI Joe Stand with her name on it.
This version of Lady Jaye is the best version we've gotten, even with the head being slightly off. The new accessories alone make this figure a must have. The paint app just makes it even better.

Roadblock is nothing new mold wise. The paints are very garish just like Stalker. They're trying to make the figure look like they did on the cartoon, but some slightly darker shades of the same colors would make these figures that much better. Roadblock got a new accessory though, his combat knife. He also comes with a GI Joe stand with his name on it.
Roadblock is a good figure with a bad paint job. If I didn't already have the first one, I'd be ok with this one.

The Weather Dominator takes the fourth figure slot as it's big enough to be a small play set. It looks just like it does in the cartoon with the exception of the seat Destro sits in when operating it. It's also affixed to a small base instead of a long telescoping pole that comes out of a huge snake mouth. The three main components of the Weather Dominator can come apart and be scattered to the corners of the earth. The controls have some nice detailing on them with the handles and targeting screen. What seems to be an added bonus is that the bottom of the base has three holes that line up perfectly with the three pegs on top of the MASS Device so you can attach the two parts.

The small accessory in this set is the Strangler Vines. They have a nicely detailed rock base and the vines themselves are detailed well. They're soft and flexible but do not have wires inside them like rubber bendy toys. Even without the extra stability of wire, the vines can hold a figure as big as Roadblock in them pretty well. They can fall over though, so to add some more stability to them, they have two holes on the rock base so it can plug onto a GI Joe stand. This will allow the vines to hold Roadblock completely off the ground for a while. He'll eventually fall over unless he has a foot on the ground but given what the vines are made of, it's pretty impressive they can hold him off the ground at all!
The MASS Device part that comes with this set is the Generator. It plugs into the back of the Console making up the bulk of the MASS Device.
This is a great set with some nice nods to the cartoon in the way of new figure decos and accessories. I'm also jazzed that we get a small play set with this set.

Thank you for the review and I agree with it all but I especially thank you as I never paid attention when I got it and couldn't figure out what to do with that Weather Dominator piece. It kept falling off my desk until now. Good review.

Thanks for your reviews..
I wish they were able to put the rotating wrists on Lady Jaye so you can pose her a little bit better with the spear.
