TFWiki has posted up some very interesting and rare information today – scans from a 1986 Hasbro Toy Fair Catalog. This catalog was purchased in a joint charity drive between TFWiki and the Allspark, which raised $2340 for Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
Shown are items such as the:
- Cobra Hydrosled
- Battle Stations
- Devilfish
- Serpentor with Air Chariot
- 1986 single carded figures
GI Joe fans! Check out some scans of the GI Joe section of the catalog here!
Can you spot some of the differences between the figures shown and the final production pieces which made it out to retail?

Thanks for posting these really cool pictures. My favorite Joe figure growing up was the 1986 B.A.T. I know a lot of people don't like the B.A.T.S., but I never had one as a kid and remember this like it was yesterday.
I was in grade school, and this one kid in my class had damn near every new Joe that would come out. He had a big ass bookbag filled with Joes, then at recess he would take his book bag outside and we would play with the Joes. Of course he had a couple of B.A.T.S. Anyways, long story short, I still love the B.A.T. figure and that is one figure I like to army build.
No after looking at the cool scans of the Toy Fair 86' catalog is the head on the B.A.T. a prototype?
