According to the US Patent And Trademark Office, Hasbro made a new filing recently to retain ownership of the Cobra CLAW trademark(s). The image shown at the site was of the Rise Of Cobra release; Cobra CLAW With Air Viper Commando.
With moves like this, could Hasbro be planning to repaint the current Cobra CLAW mold for the Renegades line, or possibly considering an all new version?

This is pretty interesting. On Wednesday, October 20, 2010, USPTO registration number 85156655 was filed for COBRA C.L.A.W. by Hasbro, Inc. with the description "Toy vehicles".
From what I know, The "Cobra C.L.A.W". was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1984. The toy was also sold in 1985 and was discontinued in 1986. And there was another one in 2009. But it was for the ROC movie. Am I correct?
So, why file for a Trademark now? It seems that Hasbro wants to keep the name for themselves. There seems to be a slight mishap and Hasbro don't want anyone to take what's theirs.
Anyway, You can retrieve a copy of the Original Trademark document here: United States Patent & Trademark Office

they came out with it before the roc, 2 x's then made one for the roc, that is strange that they would go for it now??

I believe some of the dollor store toys are calling themselves C.L.A.W. so it would be Hasbro's best interest to protect its property.
They have sited trademark issues in the past, with charactor names so it makes sence.

I'm going to have to find out if the F.A.N.G is trademarked, if not it will be mine. Then you guys will have to pay me anytime you mention it in one of your posts.
