It’s “Game-On” for Digital Domain as this Michael Bay owned Visual Effects company is getting ready for the 3D Post-Conversion of G. I. Joe: Retaliation.
“It stands to benefit from new visual effects production capacity and its transition towards becoming a full production animation studio,” stated analysts Tony Wible in a report.
Digital Domain official site lists G. I. Joe: Retaliation is in production. The company is one of the leading VFX companies in the world with big movie names such as the Transformers series, Real Steel, X-Men: First Class and many others as its projects.

I think that this is good news. To me it sounds like Paramount is putting a lot of effort into ensuring Retaliation is a smash hit. I hope that it ends up being one.

Since this is being worked on right now, I guess that means either the movie is complete or any newly filmed sequences are not that extensive?

Good news! Michael Bay is now somehow involved with this movie....huh?
Now we can really blame him for something.

They will be adding "poke you in the eye" type scenes to take advantage of the 3D. And the 3D is a post-coversion which no one likes because it produces lousy 3D. Way to go, Paramount! I know this will be a hit in March!
Shin Densetsu says
Well DOTM was bad ass in 3D(saw it in 2d and 3d), so...hopefully the delay for 3D was worth it.
