According to Box Office Mojo G. I. Joe: Retaliation Opening/Easter Weekend Results are as follows:

  • Domestic: US$ 51.7 Million
  • Overseas: US$ 80.3 Million

Total: US$ 132 Million

Records:

  • Highest opening weekend ever for a Bruce Willis movie
  • #2 in Easter Opening Weekend
  • #5 in Hasbro Brand Opening

Andrew Stewart of Variety is reporting via Twitter that with this success, Paramount has greenlit G. I. Joe 3:

“Yo Joe! After a $132 mil opening for G.I. JOE: RETALIATION, Paramount said it will move forward with a third JOE.”

We are yet to hear the official word from Paramount/Hasbro.
