G.I.Joe Retaliation Kim Jinx Arashikage Review

Kim Arashikage is the spirited apprentice in the Arashikage ninja clan. She uses her skills to help the G.I. Joe team, where she earns the nickname Jinx after putting the whammy on Cobra. Her weapons pack is loaded with ninja gear and weapons for high flying action and stealthy attacks.

Once again the "dossier" is based on the Move Universe. The majority of us that grew up reading Marvel's G.I Joe: A Real American Hero know that her first appearance was also in issue #59 where she is training at the Blind Master's dojo. Her only appearance in the '80s cartoon was in the 1987 G.I. Joe: The Movie, with her memorable scene of sparring with Beachhead.

Kim Jinx Arashikage is played by the lovely Elodie Yung. The figure is based off the outfit she wears in the Mountain scene in the Movie. The entire figure is a repaint of the SDCC 2012 Jinx.



Accessories, and does she come with accessories to put a hurting on Cobra. Jinx comes with a case that opens up loaded with weapons. The case also has a zip line action feature, that's very different from all the other zip lines throughout the line. Let's take a look at what she comes with.

Overall it's a decent figure. The figure is a straight up repaint of the SDCC 2012 Jinx and she comes with accessories that have been seen before. I'm glad the knee pads are black and not yellow like the pictures on the card. I'd recommend the figure to complete your Movie cast. Or if you are just a completist. Considering that the figure comes with a zip line action feature, I am surprised Hasbro didn't release it in the first two waves. Then again Hasbro lives by the rule that female figures don't sell. So we should be glad we even got Jinx and Lady Jaye. I wish we could have gotten a Jinx figure wearing her outfit toward the end of the Movie (see avatar).

I hope someday they do an "ultimate" Jinx in the same vein as the current "ultimate" Storm Shadow: cartoon look with a second movie head. That's all the stuff we need.

This figure is odd,
1 its late in the line
2 its only good for re-enacting the mountain scene as thats the only time she wears this get up
3 its not a vintage rendition
4 no unmasked head included

So were left with just another useless generic ninja named Jinx, not that the 2 we got from SDCC were not enough already. I will end up with this figure by default since it comes in the wave box, but I am not over thrilled to have it when other figures choices could have taken the spot...like more of the ultimate versions since the movie is going on 2 years now since it should have come out...does anyone other than us even remember her wearing this in the movie lol...
