It’s already that time of the year! Time to put on your best G.I.Joe or COBRA themed costume and go raid the neighborhood for candy! This typically works better if you have a child of your own to bring with you. If not, you look like me – an overweight middle aged man dressed as Transformers Decepticon Soundwave mooching free snacks.
Whatever your plans may be, we hope you have a great time and a safe one at that! Have you carved a cool design in to your pumpkin? Have an awesome costume that you want to share with us? Creating a Halloween themed custom? If you answered yes to any of the above, or just want to join in on the Halloween fun, join us after the break for spooky discussion already in progress!

Strangely enough I don't do GIJOE costumes for Halloween, just cons.
Halloween is time to do the crazier stuff.

We made all my costumes. The GIJOE costume is neat for nostalgia and I remember seeing them hanging on racks at Kmart or in boxes. I had no interest in getting one though, or any other store bought costume because really they are just a vinyl Tshirt and a mask. You knew what kids liked for sure though! No guessing at the front door.
check out these from 79including a Darkon. http://www.plaidstallions.com/hasbro/costumes.jpg
There are a few new GIJOE costumes this year, but they are for women check out 80s tees. There is a Scarlett, a new sexy Cobra, and a new Baroness.

At our house, neighborhood kids who come to the door wearing a GI Joe costume get candy PLUS a bagged GI Joe action figure. Star Wars costume gets candy plus a SW figure. Pokemon costume gets candy plus a pack of Pokemon trading cards. This way we encourage great cosplay AND we keep the inventory of figures and cards under control.
