$3 to buy an episode of a 30 yr old cartoon is a bit steep.

Would rather hit up a resale shop and pick up all the series for less then $10.00 or even watch them on YouTube .

Vimeo? Never even heard of it. Going from Netflix to $3 a episode? Okey dokey

I prefer vimeo to youtube, but $8 on netflix is – or was – better than $3 episodes.
It feels like the HUB all over again.

Right. Pay $3 per episode vs getting on netflix for the past 3 years or so. No thanks.

I agree the pricing is fairly insane and instead of one of the big names in streaming they went for a company that most streaming people don't use.

At least with Netflix there was a chance of reaching a wider audience. I just don't see kids beating a path to the GI Joe door if the only access to GI Joe is $3 an episode for old cartoon episodes. I don't have a degree in business so I don't see how this is a good thing at all for the brand.

I suspect this was a profit thing. All the shows on the service so far are legacy shows that aren't actively being supported by Hasbro (Transformers Prime, at least, is the predecessor to the current Transformers cartoon), and Hasbro might not have felt Netflix was willing to pay what Hasbro feels this content is worth.

I seriously doubt any NEW GI joe content will be exclusive to this service. And hate to break it to you, but kids aren't beating a path to GI joe to begin with, and weren't doing so when the shows WERE on Netflix anyway (not that Hasbro is doing much of anything to really support those old shows anyway in terms of product)
