Actor Henry Golding (Snake Eyes) has revealed the official movie logo during the principal photography initiation in Japan.
Titled as Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, it refers back to the IDW comic book series of the same name.
“It’s official “Snake Eyes: G.I.Joe origins” is under way in Japan. What we have planned for everybody, will excite new and old fans alike. Watch this space”
Selected members of the cast and key crew received a traditional blessing at the Hie-Jinja Shrine in Tokyo on Friday, before the before shooting. Cast in attendance at the ceremony included Golding, Andrew Koji, Haruka Abe, Iko Uwais, Takehiro Hira, and director Robert Schwentke (“The Captain”). “Ready or Not” star, Samara Weaving recently joined the cast, but was not at the temple.
From Paramount Pictures:
Introducing the cast and crew of #SnakeEyes at the start of production in Japan: @Henry Golding (Snake Eyes), Andrew Koji (Storm Shadow), Haruka Abe (Akiko), Takehiro Hira (Kenta), Stunt Coordinator Kenji Tanigaki, and Director Robert Schwentke. Coming to theatres this year.

I like the temple blessing pic. It's also nice that GI Joe is in the title. Don't know if I like the chalkboard Arashikage symbol, but I hope the kids like it.
These pics remind me that I should start wearing my white dress shoes more often.

I know some folks are uneasy about some of the casting, but I saw Ready or Not last week, and Samara Weaving, I believe, will do a fantastic job as Scarlett. She's also very pretty, despite some unflattering pics some of you guys have found. If she's not your cup of tea, I get that, but she can act, she can do physical roles, and she's easy on the eyes, IMO.

The new logo looks fantastic! Also, did anyone notice the 80s Japanese GI Joe logo (that was on the Japanese ARAH cards) on the wall in one of the actor pics?
