One of the highly anticipated aspects of the upcoming Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins movie, is our first look at the new designs for main characters. We’ve yet to receive a word on that, but while we wait, there is a happy news to be shared.
We have received a word that award-winning costume designer Louise Mingenbach resumed her usual role for the new movie.
Her name may not jump out straightaway for Joe fans, but Ms. Mingenbach was the costume designer of Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow for G.I. Joe: Retaliation. We had your curiosity, now we have your attention.
Other than Retaliation and Snake Eyes, Louise Mingenbach worked on multiple X-Men movies, Hancock, and Superman Returns.
Joining with her as costume supervisor is Janice Macisaac, who worked on Deadpool 2.

I liked “yakuza” Storm Shadow better than that trench coat, long tail figamabob he wore after the Paris pursuit and Retaliation.
Retaliation Cobra Commander is big plus for Louise Mingenbach.

I didn't love Firefly's leatherjacket and Storm Shadow was a little too straps-and-buckles. Those two have iconic looks that can be kept simple.
