Paramount Pictures hosted a panel for Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins at Tokyo Comic Con 2020.
Tokyo Comic Con supervisor Sugiyama Supitoyo conducted the event and even showcased a vintage Marvel comic book (issue 26: At Last ! The Strangest Secret of All ! Subject: Snake-Eyes), a vintage G. I. Joe VHS released in Japan, and a 25th Anniversary Snake Eyes figure.
Rest of the panel featured the same video from CCXP 2020.
“I can’t express it in words. I was incredibly happy. The script I was given was very well developed and full of possibilities.” said Henry Golding. The actor immediately contacted Ray Park as soon as he heard the word that he is selected for the role of Snake Eyes.
Speaking of which, stunt coordinator Kenji Tanigaki previously worked with Mr. Park on Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (Reptile).
Filming also took place in Japan; on locations such as as Himeji, Osaka, and Ibaraki. Eri Ishida, Takehiro Hira, and Haruka Abe are some of the Japanese talent featured in Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins.
