Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins Japanese Release Original Song Revealed

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins will hit Japanese theaters on October 22nd. To celebrate the release, a brand new original song for the movie is performed by [appropriately named band] Ninja Kaigi.

Titled ‘Stealth Dive’, the song is inspired by the story of the movie. You can listen to a portion of the song, below:

    Not gonna lie the fact that something like this exists about snake eyes makes me ridiculously happy. Like just the fact that Snake Eyes got far enough into pop culture for them to make this.

    Plus, I kinda dig it.

    Haven't had a chance to listen to the song but hold but hopefully it's a banger.. I want good publicity even if I want the movie to be scrapped and rebooted

    What nonsense. Japan is also not a big movie market for the US, so not sure how or why they would have done anything to pander to them.

    Wow! I'm in Japan and didn't even know about this, lol. I can't believe they got Subaru Kimura to be part of this--he's the voice of Takeshi Goda in the Japanese anime Doraemon for those interested.

    Subaru isn't really known for his music, here. He's mainly known for his voice acting.

    Personally, I don't see G.I. Joe doing well here. We're what, a week a way from release? I haven't seen any promotions on TV for this or signage of any kind building it up. I don't think you can blame lackluster performance, if that's what happens, on the pandemic as many people in society haven been going about business as they did before the pandemic--more so now that the State of Emergency has been lifted. Most people here have been wearing masks from the very beginning and more than half of the country is fully vaccinated and the number keeps ticking up by the day.

    G.I. Joe has virtually no name recognition here and with no huge star to draw people into theaters, this might be dead in the water. The posters and this video screams "American ninja" and I don't think that's popular here, but I guess I'll find out.
