BAIT And New Balance Collaborate on Roadblock G.I.Joe Shoe

Here’s a random bit of news for your Hump Day. BAIT and New Balance are collaborating on a G.I.Joe themed shoe named “Roadblock”. The New Balance 710 Roadblock is also being raffled off by BAIT on their site, so if you’re interested, head on over and sign up (FYI – you’ll need to register for a BAIT account).

As noted on Sneaker News, BAIT is a West Coast shop that also offers toys & figurines and has a history of partnerships with labels like kidrobot. From Sneaker News –

At the core of this three-way partnership is the New Balance H710 boot designed with a military-themed aesthetic and the G.I. Joe colors of red, white, and blue. Battle-ready materials like wolverine suede and ballistic nylon are used for the upper construction to mirror the spirit of Roadblock, the artillery expert and all-around bad-ass for the G.I. Joe squad. The BAIT x New Balance H710 “Roadblock” will be available exclusively at BAIT on June 20th in-store and online (apply for a raffle here), with an MSRP of $120.

    The timing seems odd. A couple of years ago would've made some sense, but now? Regardless, while I think NB is an awesome company that makes great shoes right here in the U.S. (which is why they're pricier than many competitors), that's one ugly shoe I won't be buying.

    I like the CC 574s, but they would've been more appealing to me if the Cobra symbol was painted red.

    Agreed, I'm glad I enjoy the Cobra Commander offering as I'd like to support the idea of GI Joe themed sneakers...but that Roadblock just isn't to my liking.

    Nike and Jordan shoes haha sarcasm they are not new balance cheaper compared those two companies

    If that shoe was movie colors I may buy it have buy new balance good for feet for
    People who back problems standing for to long what I hear black red laces, road block shoe is bad perfer snakeyes shoe over roadblock for better colors
