We have a very happy news for the G. I. Joe fans. Akiva Goldsman who spearheaded a team of writers to plan out the next 10 years of the Transformers Live Action Movie Franchise is now hired by Hasbro and Paramount to do the same for the G. I. Joe and Micronauts franchises.
Deadline.com has the scoop:
“After their Akiva Goldsman-led Writers Room experiment led to at least three movie ideas to extend Transformers, Hasbro and Paramount have set Goldsman to supervise a Writers Room for their G.I. Joe movie series. And they will go the same route with Goldsman to draft ideas for the Hasbro property Micronauts, with Goldsman supervising that as well.”
This is a brilliant news for G. I. Joe Fans (Movie and Non-Movie), since if initiated correctly, the franchise will cater the fans for many years to come. If things go right, we may even see our very own G. I. Joe Cinematic Universe.
