This was/is extremely exciting news. And Hasbro will be in excellent company, actually. The American Dream complex (in East Rutherford, NJ) is where Nickelodeon Universe, the DreamWorks water park and LegoLand Discovery Center are located. Plus there's an aquarium, skating rinks, mini golf courses and indoor ski slopes*. My little cousins (as well as a few, um, slightly larger "children" I know) all absolutely adore American Dream.

* Not to mention, a humongous shopping mall.

Hasbro might have cancelled those plans already. American Dream does not even recognize Hasbro with their Coming Soon attractions area of their website.

American Dream has been having a difficult time since it first opened fully in October 2020. In fact, last year TFG reported generating $173 million in revenues, which is almost $60 million short of its total expenses of $232.4 million for the year.

And in the meantime Mattel is doing its own amusement park featuring brands like Hot Wheels, Barbie and Masters of the Universe. With the economy about to collapse its likely this will suffer the same fate.

Hell....I live in NJ and I have yet to go nor do I feel any great desire to so what does that tell you? Last I heard, they charge something like $30.00 just to park!! Who the hell wants to pay $30.00 just to park at a mall ONLY to then get raked over the coals AGAIN for various other expenditures once inside? DOA from the get go as far as I'm concerned.

American Dream offers convenient parking to all guests. The first hour of parking is free, and after that, it costs only $5 per vehicle (taxes included) for the duration of your visit.
