It’s been a few days, but legendary GI Joe artist Russ Heath has passed away. If you’re not immediately familiar with his name, you’ll certainly be familiar with his work, he was responsible for the basic look and feel for the Sunbow GI Joe characters, locations, animals, vehicles and storyboards. He penciled Marvel’s GI Joe issue #24 and inked issue #64. He also did a lot of work on titles like the Punisher and Punisher War Journal, etc…
Tim Finn has blogged a wonderful tribute on A Real American Book that I wanted to share with everyone here at Hiss Tank.

Hisstank’s good friend from 3DJoes.com has created his own little Toys R Us store loaded with vintage GI Joe, Transformers, Exo-Squad and much, much more. I’ve mirrored a few of his images he’s posted on Facebook. Check out the images of how wonderful his new display is!

This is definitely a fandom splitting topic, but if GI Joe were to return to retail this moment, how would you like to see it represented?
* Old school o-ring?
* A continuation of the 25th style packaging with new sculpts and a continuation of unreleased figures?
* 6 Inch!!
* Other?
